Bertha’s Kitchen was founded in 1998 as a small cottage catering business with a simple mission: to provide fresh, well-prepared meals for weddings and family functions. Through quality, reliability, and attention to detail, the business quickly earned strong word-of-mouth recognition.
In 2006, Bertha’s Kitchen was formally registered and established its own operational premises in Kawuku, Bunga, laying the foundation for structured growth and stronger operational capacity.
Over the years, the company has grown into a trusted catering business capable of handling large-scale events of over 5,000 guests, including national functions such as Heroes Day and Independence Day celebrations.
In 2021, Bertha’s Kitchen expanded into corporate and institutional catering, providing reliable, hygienic, and high-quality meal services to organisations across Uganda.
Today, Bertha’s Kitchen is known for dependable service, disciplined operations, professional staff, food safety consciousness, and the ability to serve both private events and structured institutional clients with equal excellence.
